Long Stick Defensive Starter

#20

  • Be Fast

I have been playing lacrosse for ten years now and have been with Ida B. Wells for all that time. I played for the Wells Youth Lacrosse Team (then called Wilson Youth Lacrosse Team) from 3rd through 8th grade.

In my freshman year at Wells I became a starting Varsity long stick defenseman and have continued to support my team for all four years of my high school career.

  • Be Loud

I have prided myself in honing my own skills within the game, while also passing on my knowledge gained from years of experience to my teammates and first year players. Even though I have always played on the Varsity team, I seek out ways to instruct Junior Varsity players as well.

I have formed close bonds with my brothers on the Ida B. Wells Lacrosse teams and we continue to advance the club forward and improve our abilities.

  • Be Determined

No matter the weather, time, or attendance I have showed up consistently for my team as a leader. I have helped shovel snow, braved frostbite inducing weather, and ran sprints in hundred degree weather so I can improve as a player, teammate, and overall person.

Lacrosse has been a way for me to connect with others I might never have met. It's an outlet where I can stay fit and let off steam. It's a passion where I've seen my skills improve over a decade's worth of commitment. And it's a community where I can instruct beginners and coach experts. There's no sport I would rather play.
